“For my work, I am mainly inspired by materials I collect. I love the influence of time, weathering and colours created by tarnishing.
‘Lost souls’ intrigue me. An inspiring shape, the colours of a weathered material, a photo or a piece of text are often the impetus for a new story.”
In 2023, Isolde and Karla Desmet founded their own studio Atelier deKus in Beauvoorde. They organise activities such as tailor-made workshops, lectures, book performances, living room concerts and more.
